Where do I go to pay my real estate and/or personal property taxes?
You may pay your real estate or personal property taxes at the Collector's office located in room 201 on the second floor of the county courthouse. The Collector's office is open from 8:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. If you wish to call the Collector's office, the number to call is 660.886.5104. If you have lost your paid receipt, you may obtain a copy of your receipt at this office as well.
Where do I go to apply for a passport?
You may apply for a passport at the Circuit Clerk's office located in room 205 on the second floor in the county courthouse. The Circuit Clerk's office is open from 8:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. You may reach the Circuit Clerk at 660.886.2300.
Where do I go to apply for a marriage license?
You may apply for a marriage license at the Recorder of Deed's office located in room 206 on the second floor in the county courthouse. The Recorder of Deed's office is open from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. You may reach the Recorder at 660.886.2677.
Where do I go to register to vote?
You may register to vote at the County Clerk's office located at 9 E. North Street. The County Clerk's office is open from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. You may reach the County Clerk at 660.886.3331. When you come to the Clerk's office to register to vote, you will need to bring a form of identification, which shows your current address. A common form of identification is a driver license.
Where do I go to purchase a current plat book?
You may purchase a plat book at the County Treasurer's office located in room 200 on the second floor in the county courthouse. The current cost of a plat book is $35. The County Treasurer's office is open from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. You may reach the County Treasurer at 660.886.3636.
